have joined up with T1Diabetes.info to form a Team Pursuit squad at the 2016 World Masters Track championships in Manchester UK. The team hope to put in a strong performance whilst raising awareness about Type 1 Diabetes.
T1-diabetes.info ride ambassador John Russell who rode the team to a Bronze medal last year is again joined by Alun Owen and Gerry Bowditch plus the new rider into the squad for 2016 Niel Dunnage.
Niel who works for Cloudera was keen to support the ethos and aims of
T1-diabetes.info and was able to raise interest and fantastic support form his company for this World Championship Track Cycling competition. They have kindly supported us with some of the best Aerodynamic clothing on the market form Nopinz and have been designed using the company logo and also incorporating the T-1 diabetes.info logo.
As well as looking quick the team are hoping to follow on from last years’ world record breaking time set in the Bronze medal ride.
The team are also competing across the week in Manchester at the National Cycling Centre, competing in individual pursuit, points and scratch races as well as the Team Pursuit which takes place on Saturday 8th October. You can see the programme of events at the official World masters web page and also follow a You Tube live steam of the main championship ride events
