Jason White (Racing Cyclist Ambassador) secured the overall Senior Elite Race Series Victory at Castle Combe Race Circuit in Wiltshire last week, with his t1diabetes.info team mate Dan Marshall (Racing Cyclist Ambassador)securing third overall in the series.
Jason simply needed to finish in the points to win the series but, Jason had other ideas and raced for the win! only narrowly losing out in the final sprint to the line to finish the last race of the series with a fine second place, Dan Marshall coming home in his wheel tracks to finish third and in turn securing a fine third overall in the series, in fact in the last race of the series Team t1diabetes.info had three riders in the top 5 !! with Ian Rees (t1 Racing Cyclist Ambassador) coming home 4th ensuring he gave his all to protect Jason and Dan during the sprint for victory.
Jason said after the race that he was really pleased to have won the series overall and it was very much his aim this year to take the title in the highly competitive series in this his come back season.
Jason went on to say that he had to thank Ian Rees for his fantastic support and assistance with his racing and training for the series and he also thanked Dan Marshall and Matt Franklin for their hard work in leading him out so many times over the series and working with him so effectively and selflessly during all the races in the series.
