We are delighted to announce that t1diabetes.info is the seventh of eight good causes that will benefit from the Tour of Broadmead, the finale to Bristol Shopping Quarter’s Summer of Sport.

The Tour of Broadmead, an eight-day charity fundraising event, will take place from Saturday 20th to Saturday 27th August

Following the exciting news that stages 7a and 7b of the Tour of Britain 2016 will take place entirely in Bristol on Saturday 10th September, we are announcing the Tour of Broadmead, an eight-day charity fundraising event during which volunteer cyclists will cover the full distance of the Tour of Britain, without leaving Bristol Shopping Quarter!

The event will begin on Saturday 20th August and end on Saturday 27th August, the last full week of the school holidays. T1diabetes.info will be there on Friday 26th August.

Three static bikes will be situated in Broadmead. (Outside Marks & Spencers). On two, a sponsored relay event will take place, the aim being to cover the distance of one Tour of Britain stage each day. The other will be used for individual time trials, with a leader board updated throughout the week; anyone will be able to have a go, in return for a small donation to charity.
